When it comes to the NFL, teams are always looking to replace their current players with guys who could potentially be better for them. UConn’s Matthew Peart could eventually be a player that steps in at the right tackle position for the Denver Broncos.

Peart was part of an offensive line that gave way to two 1,000-yard rushers in 2018, and another in 2019.

Strengths and Weaknesses

In Lance Zierlein’s assessment of Peart on NFL.com, there are obviously a mix of good and bad.

In my opinion, there are a lot of things in Peart’s game that the Broncos can work with. The presence of Mike Munchak as offensive line coach is bound to be a huge help for any new addition the team brings in to protect the quarterback.

I personally put a strong emphasis on the fact that Peart has experience at both tackle positions. This allows the Broncos to possibly make a decision when it comes to whether or not they want to pick up Garett Bolles’ fifth-year option, as well as whether or not they want to extend Ja’Wuan James after his four-year, $51M contract is up.
