Trying to fit two receivers in the top 100 picks, I went with Michael Pittman Jr. here over Florida’s Van Jefferson, son of former NFL wide receiver Shawn Jefferson.

Why Pittman over Jefferson?

Well, Pittman’s father — Michael Pittman Sr. — was once a running back for the Denver Broncos, so there is a Denver tie here as well as an NFL legacy fit.

Also, Jefferson’s father Shawn is currently the assistant head coach/wide receivers coach with the New York Jets. I wonder if they won’t prioritize getting him in green in a couple of weeks.

Regardless, the fit for Pittman might be better anyway with Jefferson bearing a strong resemblance as a prospect to DaeSean Hamilton.

Pittman is a big-bodied receiver whose aggressiveness at the catch point is tremendous. He was also a team captain at USC, which the Broncos value highly, and would give Denver two outside receivers in Courtland Sutton and Pittman who could absolutely wear opponents down with their size and physicality while Jalen Reagor was moved all over the formation.
