The Denver Broncos could put together a pretty outstanding 2020 NFL Draft class of all legacy players, players who have family with NFL bloodlines.

Every year, thousands of mock drafts are published to the internet, and now that number has grown exponentially with the introduction of a number of mock draft machines, allowing fans to come up with their own fun team-building scenarios. Since there are so many mock drafts out there, how about another one with a fun twist?

The Denver Broncos have some pretty clear-cut needs heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.

They need to add explosiveness and speed at the receiver position along with depth, interior offensive line, cornerback, and other positions like safety, linebacker, and defensive line could use some attention.

With 10 selections in the draft, the Broncos also have the flexibility to move around the board and fill their needs as they see fit.

More than just filling needs, though, the Broncos need to bring in the right guys to continue building this roster. The current state of the team feels a lot like it did going from 2011 to 2012. The Broncos were clearly trending upward when the arrival of Peyton Manning vaulted an otherwise solid roster into a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Of course, the hope is that Drew Lock can help get the team back into that realm, but no one knows that for sure. Still, the Broncos have been unofficially rebuilding for two going on three years and this year’s draft class will be critical to aiding in the growth of the franchise.

What better way to add to the roster than by going after legacy players — young prospects who have football in their blood?

There are a lot of really fascinating players in the 2020 NFL Draft with family ties to Hall of Fame football players, former first-round picks, and some to current Pro Bowl players. What if we tried putting together an entire mock draft for the Broncos not only addressing the team’s needs but also by drafting only players whose parents, siblings, or relatives played in the NFL?

Let’s get this legacy draft started, and assume the Broncos maneuver around the board as needed to wind up with these nine players.
