3. Center/Guard

The Broncos paid big money for Graham Glasgow in free agency, and right now the plan is to play him at the right guard position.

That could ultimately change based on what the Broncos do in the 2020 NFL Draft, but my guess is the team is going to look for a guy to play center rather than guard if possible.

If the season started today, the Broncos’ center would likely be Patrick Morris, a waiver pickup last year from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It would not be a shock at all if one of the Broncos’ top two picks was an interior lineman. If, for some reason, a player like Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs falls to the 15th overall pick, he could be an ideal pickup for the Broncos because he could play right guard as a rookie.

More likely, the Broncos will have a chance at a player like LSU’s Lloyd Cushenberry or Michigan’s Cesar Ruiz in round two, and those players could be very tempting for them.

Both of those players would represent possible longtime starters at the position, just like Dalton Risner in round two of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Cushenberry, in particular, seems like a great fit with the Broncos.
