The Denver Broncos still have a number of needs heading into the 2020 NFL Draft. We try to prioritize the top five areas the team needs to address.

John Elway has put in a lot of really solid work rebuilding the Denver Broncos’ roster over the last three offseasons.

In 2018, Elway drafted a core of new players who will provide the foundation for the franchise in this new wave of Broncos football, including outside linebacker Bradley Chubb, wide receiver Courtland Sutton, and star undrafted free agent running back Phillip Lindsay.

In 2019, Elway brought in more critical players through the NFL Draft including the team’s potential franchise quarterback Drew Lock.

What will 2020 bring?

With unprecedented restrictions due to COVID-19, Elway and the Broncos’ front office have to figure out the best way to surround Lock with talent, protection, and support defensively.

This year’s draft class is exceptionally deep at wide receiver, on the offensive line (all positions), and there is depth in the secondary as well.

The Broncos have addressed some of their needs in free agency, of course, bringing in players like defensive linemen Jurrell Casey, cornerback AJ Bouye, offensive lineman Graham Glasgow, running back Melvin Gordon, and filling other needs with players like backup quarterback Jeff Driskel, tight end Nick Vannett, and bringing back defensive lineman Shelby Harris.

In spite of all the moves the team has made already, plenty of needs remain heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.

We are going to prioritize the Broncos’ needs based on the status of the roster at each position as well as the strength of this year’s draft class.
