Prince Amukamara, cornerback

Prnce Amukamara excelled in Vic Fangio’s scheme during their years together (2017-18) with the Chicago Bears.

Amukamara is going to be 31 this season and he was cut by the Bears, so the Broncos would have been able to sign him long before the 2020 free agency period even started, but he remains a free agent with just two weeks left before the 2020 NFL Draft.

Even heading into his age 31 season, Amukamara has shown that he can still play at a high level and be effective as an outside corner.

Re-joining Vic Fangio, Ed Donnatel, and Bryce Callahan in Denver is potentially the perfect option for Amukamara, but do the Broncos want it to happen?

If they did, wouldn’t it be done by now?

Whether it’s before or after the 2020 NFL Draft, Amukamara could be a nice bargain one or two-year signing and as the Broncos discovered last season, you can never have too many good cover guys in today’s NFL.

They may prefer their young options or options in the draft to Amukamara, but he’s a veteran who can still play well.
