Logan Ryan, cornerback

Logan Ryan certainly would have a big advocate on Denver’s roster right now with his former teammate Jurrell Casey coming aboard to rush the passer from the defensive line.

In all honesty, I thought that Ryan would be one of the first-wave free agents off the board.

Having just turned 29 this offseason, Ryan is coming off of the best season of his professional career.

He absolutely loaded up the stat sheet in 16 regular season games with 18 pass breakups, 113 tackles, 4.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, eight QB hits, four forced fumbles, and four interceptions. He then ended Tom Brady’s career in New England with a pick six in Foxboro.

He was absolutely outstanding in 2019, and at the very least, he would be worth bringing in as a replacement for Chris Harris Jr. in the slot.

If the Broncos could get him under $8 million per season, this is a player absolutely worthy of signing ahead of the draft to solidify the back end of the defense with a smart veteran player who is always around the ball.
