Option 3: Justin Jefferson (LSU) & Brandon Aiyuk (Arizona State)

This duo might give the Broncos one of the most balanced all-around X, Y, Z combinations at the receiver position in the NFL, at least on paper.

Courtland Sutton has size, a massive catch radius, and is a true alpha in the passing game.

Justin Jefferson is an absolute machine from the slot, but he’s also effective after the catch and in the red zone. One of the more pro-ready route runners in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jefferson has strong hands and a great feel for finding holes in coverage.

Combining Jefferson’s route running ability, strong hands, and savvy play from the slot with Brandon Aiyuk’s explosiveness outside the numbers?

That would be a fun group to watch in Denver.

Aiyuk has first-round abilities but if a recent core muscle surgery drops him into the second round, the Broncos — or whatever team would draft him — would be getting an absolute steal.

Aiyuk has some of the best vertical speed at receiver in this draft regardless of a 4.50 40-yard dash time that didn’t do him justice.

With the 4.43 speed of Jefferson in the slot and the speed and explosiveness of Aiyuk on the outside, Drew Lock would have no shortage of options when he drops back to pass.
