Elvis Dumervil, defensive end

Elvis Dumervil was a dominant force during his 11-year NFL career. The Denver Broncos made him a 4th-round draft pick in 2006 and he spent seven seasons with the team (though he was injured for the entire 2010 season).

Dumervil accumulated 105.5 career sacks during his NFL career, which included two 17-sack seasons, a 12.5-sack season, and an 11-sack season. His second 17-sack season was with the Baltimore Ravens, but this just goes to show how dominant he was. He was able to be successful with two different teams.

The Broncos lost Derek Wolfe on the defensive line recently. Adding Dumervil to a Vic Fangio defense while still in his prime would be crazy. I’d imagine Fangio being able to put Dumervil in a great position to succeed.

Dumervil was just 33-years old when he retired. His final season was in 2017 with the San Francisco 49ers, where he recorded 6.5 sacks. While that doesn’t add up to his previous season highs, that’s still a solid season.
