We take a look at several former Denver Broncos players that would be able to help today’s team.

There have been some great players in the history of the Denver Broncos. From quarterback John Elway leading “The Drive” and appearing in five Super Bowls (winning two), as well as leading comebacks, to running back Terrell Davis (who had a 2,000-yard season) and safety Steve Atwater (who was a very-hard-hitting safety during his career.

Some players were even “sneaky” good. Players who were doubted, undervalued, looked-past.

So many players have made an impact on the Denver Broncos throughout their NFL careers.

It is now the year 2020. A lot of successful players are ancient history. They haven’t played for the team in many years—in some cases, for twenty-plus seasons. That does not mean their legacy goes unnoticed.

The game of football has changed quite a bit over the years and some plays would not be legal in today’s game. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that those players would not be successful.

Travis Wakeman and I put together a list of players who we feel would make a big impact on today’s Denver Broncos, if they were able to suit up during their prime.
