The Broncos missed out on Lamb, Jeudy and Ruggs in the first round but they get a wide receiver in the second and make a lot of local fans happy in the process.

Shenault played at Colorado and was a star for the team, doing things very few players that have ever played at that school have done. He is built for the pro game and should be a star for years to come.

The Broncos need a complement to Courtland Sutton and Shenault would be that and then some. He is arguably the strongest wide receiver in this draft and despite a slower than expected 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, he has enough speed to make plays.

Shenault is a playmaker, pure and simple. He is the kind of guy you must account for on every play. With the ball in his hands, he is a threat to take it the distance every time as he can turn a 7-yard catch into a 70-yard score.

Shenault did have some injury issues in college and his durability will be called into question. He has first-round talent, but that is one of the reasons he is down this far. Still, the Broncos should be thrilled to be able to get him here.
