With April Fool’s Day here, there have been plenty of draft picks the Broncos have swung and missed on. Here are a few players in which that was the case.

We have finally made it to April, Broncos Country. It sure has been the longest month ever. With the current situation in the world, that is to be expected. But we are finally at the month where all 32 NFL teams select college prospects to help make their dreams come true and play at the professional level.

For 255 young men, they will get the chance to hear their name called. Others could get signed as undrafted free agents. But it is always special to have your name called. There are some players who will go on to have solid NFL careers and some where it just will not work out.

Denver is no exception regarding draft picks not working out. But there are some players that showed a lot of promise for the team when they called their name but it all came crashing down at some point.

Looking back at these selections, fans scratch their heads as to why the Broncos even considered bringing the draft card up to the podium. With that said, here are five players who the Broncos drafted that ended up backfiring and fooling the franchise.
