Denver Broncos, De'Vante Bausby

De’Vante Bausby, cornerback

Contract details: 1 year, $825,000

The Broncos brought in Bausby last offseason after he put some great tape out there in the now-defunct AAF (Alliance of American Football).

Having prior experience with Vic Fangio certainly helped Bausby’s case, but it was clear his talent and skill had developed substantially since he was last on an NFL roster.

In the preseason, Bausby was very solid for the Broncos, showing off his impressive reactive quickness, ball skills, and physicality. He ended up getting some regular season work and even replaced Isaac Yiadom in the lineup early in the season, only to have his 2019 campaign cut short with a significant spine injury.

Bausby is fully healthy now and looks really good physically:

Getting him back on a one-year deal is crucial. The Broncos seemed to have unearthed a gem, and if he can stay healthy and on the field, he’s a viable starting option at one of the outside cornerback positions with all of the tools required to be a solid starter in the NFL.
