Will Parks, Safety

Yet another excellent value pick was the selection of Will Parks in the 6th round. The former Arizona Wildcat proved to have excellent tenacity and versatile in the secondary.

In his four years as a Bronco, Parks proved to be dependable and durable. He played in 62 out of 64 games and recorded 149 tackles, 1 sack, 13 pass deflections, 4 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. Will Parks was a force on the field and if there was one play to describe Parks playing style, it would be this.

Aside from his ability on the field, it was his off-field personality and demeanor that won over fans and teammates, alike. Parks or “Philly Will” was known to have a likable and infectious personality in the locker room. Teammates loved playing with him and when he was on the field, it showed.

On top of that, he was a great ambassador from the team to the community, lending a hand in countless non-profit events.

Unfortunately, Will Parks will not return to Denver as he opted to go home and sign a one year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. While he didn’t return to Denver, I’m giving him a higher grade than McGovern/Janovich because of what he meant to the team and the city of Denver, as a whole.  Parks will be sorely missed in Denver and we wish him all the best going forward.
