Grading the 2019 Denver Broncos cornerbacks
By Tylor Walden
Davontae Harris
2019 Stats: 35 tackles, three passes defended
With all of the injuries and inconsistencies of the cornerback position, the Denver Broncos decided to give a former Bengal a chance to shine.
And he did pretty well all things considered. He became a force in the Broncos secondary.
He did not come up with any big time flashy plays, but he played the position well and could give John Elway and the Broncos brass an option as the nickel cornerback or a spot start.
I am very intrigued on how well he can perform next season. He could be a diamond in the rough at this position.
Grade: B
Conclusion
The Denver Broncos are going to need a little more help at the cornerback position. But it seems they have some sort of plan to attack it.
They already have Bouye coming in to play one of the corner positions. The team could look at one of the two in Bausby and Davontae Harris to help.
The team could also look at free agency and the draft to help out. There are plenty of options available. I am hopeful that John Elway can get this all sorted out.
Cornerback will need to bounce back in a big way in 2020. It appears the moves are in place. Now it is time to execute.
