Denver Broncos: Top free agents the team could still go after
Kevin Johnson, CB, Bills
Sean McDermott is doing a tremendous job lately with the Buffalo Bills, and the Denver Broncos can attest.
McDermott has turned around the careers of a number of players, specifically on the defensive side of the ball, including some former high draft picks who were castoffs of their original teams.
One of those players is Kevin Johnson, who was not a starter for the Bills this past season but played a key role in all 16 of their games.
He had five pass breakups playing in 32 percent of the defensive snaps with 36 total tackles and some extensive special teams work.
Johnson was targeted 44 times in coverage and only allowed 26 receptions with zero touchdowns among them.
McDermott also used him on a blitz and Johnson notched his first career sack.
A former first-round pick of the Houston Texans, Johnson would be reuniting in Denver with his old teammate Kareem Jackson and could possibly play both inside and outside for the Broncos at the cornerback position.
