Robby Anderson, WR, Jets

There was a school of thought going into free agency that Anderson could really make a lot of sense for the Broncos.

Denver needs a speed receiver to take the top off of defenses, and Anderson was really the best guy at doing that in this free agent class who was realistically available.

A few days into free agency and the only team connected with Anderson has been his current team — the Jets.

That doesn’t mean interest won’t soon pick up, but teams are probably hesitant to throw an eight-figure salary at a guy with some legal trouble in his past and really a player who has been a one-trick pony at the NFL level.

The key with Anderson is this — he’s proven he can beat NFL press coverage and he can make plays vertically down the field.

10 percent of his career receptions have gone for touchdowns, and 122-of-207 receptions have been for first downs. This guy makes big plays and moves the chains consistently.
