Tarvarus McFadden, Defensive Back

When you have the opportunity to take a low risk on a high-talent guy, you have to do it. Tarvarus McFadden was once regarded as a first-round prospect while at Florida State.

However, after a breakout sophomore season where he led the nation in interceptions, was named First Team All-American, and won the Jack Tatum Award, McFadden regressed in year three in Tallahassee. He then ran a disappointing 40-yard dash time of 4.67 seconds and went undrafted after his junior season.

The former five-star recruit bounced around three NFL rosters before landing with the Tampa Bay Vipers this past season where he turned in a nice performance for an otherwise poor Vipers football squad. After five games, he finished with two interceptions including one pick-six, which happened to be the first touchdown in Vipers history.

Next. Former first rounders Denver should consider. dark

For a cornerback, he has great size at 6’2” and 204 pounds and with the depth of the position clearly in need of an upgrade, the Broncos should take a chance on this low risk, high-upside corner.
