Cavon Walker, Defensive Tackle

Former New York Guardians’ defensive tackle Cavon Walker had an outstanding season in the XFL, finishing as the league leader in sacks with three sacks in five games.

Walker couldn’t stick with the NFL previously after joining the league as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland, but with his great performance, the market should be solid for the former Terrapin.

In the Broncos’ 3-4 scheme, Walker would likely play the 3-4 defensive end position with the ability to slide inside on pass-rush situations. His size (and story getting to the league for that matter) is similar to that of the soon-to-be-departed Harris (6’2” and 278 pounds compared to 6’2” and 290 pounds).

With Harris likely gone to a much bigger payday, the Broncos should take a flyer on the 25-year old to add depth to a defensive line that is certainly going to look different next season.
