Players from the new XFL are free to sign with NFL clubs after the 2020 season was canceled. Here are three players the Denver Broncos should target.

With concerns over the spread of COVID-19, the XFL made the tough decision to cancel the remainder of its 2020 season. In addition to that shocking announcement, they also made it known that XFL players were now free to sign with NFL clubs.

While most of the hype with the Denver Broncos free agency plans surround NFL guys like Amari Cooper and DJ Reader, there are a few former XFL players that could make nice additions to the roster.

And if history shows us anything, it’s that the Broncos have historically done a good job of finding gems among this less-heralded group of players. Last year, Denver snatched up the now-defunct American Alliance of Football interceptions leader De’Vante Bausby.

Bausby went on to play significant minutes until an injury knocked him out for the remainder of the season, and despite not tendering the restricted free agent, all signs point to the Broncos keeping him in their future plans.

Prior to Bausby, the Broncos have found tremendous value in signing NFL outcasts like Shelby Harris, Todd Davis, and Brandon Marshall.

Now, with XFL players free to sign elsewhere, there is a chance they could strike gold again. Here are the three guys the Broncos should target if they want to build depth on their roster and possibly add a key piece to the team’s future.
