The Denver Broncos have the chance to substantially improve their roster in the 2020 free agent signing period. Who will John Elway bring in?

The 2020 offseason will be critical for the Denver Broncos.

Although he’s made some of the best free agent signings in recent NFL history, John Elway has never had an offseason with so much cap space and draft capital to work with.

The Broncos have just over $57 million in projected cap space after the trade for cornerback AJ Bouye, and that number will go down to roughly $45 million if or when the team franchise tags safety Justin Simmons.

That number can then grow to about $55 million when Joe Flacco’s roster situation is resolved.

What does this all mean?

It means the Broncos have financial flexibility this offseason to re-shape their roster the way they see fit. With three additional draft choices expected to come in as supplementary picks, the Broncos should have $55 million in working cap space and 11 draft choices to make the team better for 2020.

How will John Elway use that cap space? What moves are the Broncos poised to make to improve this team and potentially get back into playoff contention?

Here is a wish list for the Broncos in the 2020 offseason and why these players could help the Broncos do exactly that — make a playoff push.
