Cornerback. 162. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 810. Nebraska. LamarJackson

Another guy who the Broncos could consider to fill their need at cornerback is Wisconsin’s Lamar Jackson. No, not the quarterback.

Cornerback Jackson had a very successful collegiate career. He played in 40 career games and recorded 92 solo tackles, and 123 total tackles. Jackson also recorded five interceptions during his career. All five came in the last two seasons of his career.

Jackson has a great combination of size. He is a 6’2” cornerback that weighs 208 pounds. He has decent speed, as he ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine in 4.58 seconds. While that isn’t quite close to the fastest as a defensive back this year, it’s decent enough to stay with some wide receivers in the National Football League.

Jackson is solid when it comes to staying with his man. He can make plays on the football when the opportunity comes.

Jackson’s best bet is to stay near the sidelines (be an outside corner). His 36.5-inch vertical was tied for seventh (in terms of height jumped, not number of players). He can still make some plays on the football.

I don’t know if he will succeed in the NFL, but he could be worth a shot to pair with the other cornerback I took in this draft, Hall.
