B.J. Finney, OG, Pittsburgh Steelers

Many fans are going to want to see the Broncos add as much offensive line help as possible. B.J. Finney may not be the flashy name fans are hoping for, but the Broncos, like all teams, don’t have an unlimited amount to write checks for.

The team has chosen not to exercise the contract option on Ronald Leary, making him a free agent and a player the team will move on from. That was a free-agent signing that certainly did not work out, but Finney could end up being a solid replacement.

Finney has played in 59 career games, making 13 starts. He might not be a long-term starting option, but he could certainly fill in where and when needed. A versatile option, Finney could also be used in multiple spots as he was a  center in college at Kansas State.

On top of that, like Amukamara, he is familiar with a coach on Denver’s staff as he spent four seasons under the tutelage of offensive line coach Mike Munchak.

The Broncos should absolutely look to the draft to bolster the offensive line but bringing in an affordable option such as Finney to make spot starts and be a rotational offensive lineman makes perfect sense.
