The Broncos are looking to build their offensive line to protect Drew Lock. A former Philadelphia Eagle in Jason Peters could help bring a veteran presence.

While the Denver Broncos offensive line is looking to acquire a strong presence to protect Drew Lock, a veteran like Jason Peters to protect the blind side could help if not for a brief stint.

On Thursday, it was announced that the Philadelphia Eagles would not retain the long time left tackle and let him test the free agent market. Before I begin, I would like to make one thing clear.

His age does concern me seeing as he is getting close to 40. But looking at the amount of work this man has brought to the Eagles left tackle position cannot be ignored. He was named to the Pro Bowl seven times and was an All-Pro for two years.

His injury history could be a bit of a concern. According to Dave Zangaro from NBC Sports Philadelphia, he played in 32 of the last 35 games but left some of the game early due to an injury.

If the Denver Broncos decide to look at Jason Peters, that could provide the opportunity for Garett Bolles to either move to right tackle or have Peters mentor him for a year or so. If Denver is interested, the team should look at a one year deal.

The most interested teams for Jason Peters will likely be those who are one piece or so away from competing for a Super Bowl. How Denver approaches the rest of free agency could depend if they are intrigued with the option of obtaining the longtime Eagle.

With so much moving around on the offensive line, it would be great if the Broncos could have a veteran presence on the offensive line to help them make a bit of noise.

I will be intrigued if the Broncos decide to at least give it some consideration.
