Young defense needs a veteran presence
Yes, I am pulling out the “veteran leadership” card. But this could not be more true for a guy like Chris Harris Jr. He is one of the only defensive players remaining from the Super Bowl 50 defense. While that may not be that long ago in real time, it sure feels like a long time. Especially when you are not making the playoffs.
I completely understand that players in the NFL cannot stay on one team for the entirety of their careers. It is really rare for that to happen. But Chris Harris Jr. just has that presence that can bring a lot of leadership for the Denver Broncos.
This could very well be his final contract before he calls it a career. Why not have that veteran guy and allow him to help himself out while helping out the team for a few more years?

It will really depend on how the offseason goes, but with a veteran like Chris Harris Jr., you cannot go wrong.
