Day three draft picks (through round five)

4a. Hakeem Adeniji, OT, Kansas

Hakeem Adeniji has been one of my favorite players for the Broncos throughout this whole pre-draft process, and he remains that way after an outstanding Combine performance.

Adeniji has flexibility to play tackle or guard, and I think with his starting experience at left tackle, he can step into a role right away as the primary backup at either tackle position.

His athleticism and game experience would make him a coveted player at this juncture of the draft.

4b. James Lynch, DL, Baylor

Although he may be misplaced in the Mock Draft Machine as a day three pick, Lynch would be an outstanding value for the Broncos here in the fourth round.

He had 19.5 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks this past season for Baylor. At 6-foot-4, 289 pounds, he has the frame to be a defensive end in Vic Fangio’s defense.

5 (compensatory). Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB, Vanderbilt

The Broncos will be looking to add to their backfield at some point in this draft class, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn would be a solid pick up on day three.

He started off his college career at Illinois before going to Vanderbilt and tearing it up for two seasons with 21 rushing touchdowns, three receiving touchdowns, and over 2,700 yards from scrimmage.
