Free agency: Offensive line

Re-sign Connor McGovern (4 years, $30 million)

The Broncos have to set a limit with starting center Connor McGovern, which could ultimately lead to his departure from the team.

With that said, $7.5 million average annual value is a fair price to offer McGovern at this point given what he’s shown on the field, and would put him in the top 15 for centers in the NFL.

If McGovern is dead set on being one of the highest paid centers in the league (even Matt Paradis didn’t crack $10 million AAV), he will have to get it elsewhere.

He has ties to other teams in the NFL, notably in Arizona with Sean Kugler, but he’s a good option for Denver and would give them a starting option at both guard or center.

Tender G/T Elijah Wilkinson (1 year, $3 million)

Although Wilkinson has stunk at right tackle for the Broncos, the prevailing thought seems to be that he can excel as a guard in the NFL, and Mike Munchak should be trusted with that as he’s been hired to develop players, regardless of their draft status.

If Wilkinson could be penciled in as the Broncos’ starting guard, he and McGovern would at least give them a starting five heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.
