Von Miller

2019 Stats: 46 tackles, eight sacks

2019 was a very weird year for Von Miller. For the first time since 2013, a year where he missed the first six games due to a suspension and then missed the last few games and the postseason due to an ACL injury, he registered fewer than ten sacks in a season.

It seemed as if Vic Fangio wanted him to play more in coverage. But, Miller plays better when he can get to the quarterback. So, having him in coverage makes no sense.

Teams have also learned to double team Miller when he goes after the quarterback, so if Miller can find a way to erase the double teams, his sack total will get back up to double digits.

Not a really good year for Miller, which is probably the first time I have said this in writing in my years as a writer.

Grade: B-
