Casey Kreiter, long snapper

Since coming to the Broncos in the 2016 season, has done nothing but stay silent. As a long snapper, that may be the best thing anyone can say about you.

Kreiter has been the Broncos long snapper for 58 games during that stretch, earning a Pro Bowl nod as an alternate after the 2018 season.

He returned to the Broncos on a one year deal this season but is once again scheduled to be an Unrestricted Free Agent this spring. As it stands right now, I don’t see any reason to let Kreiter go to another team.

Considering his performance and inexpensive contract, it makes too much sense for the Broncos to give him another year of snapping duties in 2020.

2020 Status: Mortar

Conclusion

Specialists are known to be easy replacements and some of the most interchangeable players on any roster. When you find yourself a quality specialist, it’s imperative to keep them around.

For the Broncos sake, it would appear that they have one to go kicker in Brandon McManus. Add in a steady snapper and that should give them solace as they try to contend for a playoff spot in 2020.

If they want to give themselves the best chance at pinning their opponents, though, they may want to look for another Punter.

Time will tell what he Broncos do at that position but as it stands right now, that position has to be more consistent for the Broncos to compete deep into the 2020 season.
