Day three picks

4a. Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State

At some point in this draft, the Broncos have to get a developmental player at the tackle position, and Ezra Cleveland could be the perfect fit.

He’s a very good athlete at the position with a lot of starting experience, but a bit of a need to improve his all-around technique and strength.

He could be a starting candidate in year two with the Broncos.

4b. Michael Pittman Jr., WR, USC

I don’t know if this is how it’s going to go down during the draft, but if the Broncos were fortunate enough to be looking at Michael Pittman Jr. in the later portion of the fourth round, they should absolutely pull the trigger.

Although the Broncos would certainly love to find someone with truly elite speed to add to their offense, it could be just as difficult to defend three guys bigger than 6-foot-3 at the position with incredible ball skills and strength.

5 (projected comp pick). Logan Wilson, LB, Wyoming

The Broncos could look to upgrade at linebacker in free agency, and even if they don’t, Logan Wilson is a great fit for this team.

He’s a converted defensive back with outstanding four-year production, including four interceptions this past season for the Cowboys.

6. Jake Hanson, C, Oregon

Pairing Hanson up with his former teammate Lemieux is a very fun option. The Broncos may add a veteran like BJ Finney to lock down the starting center job, but Hanson is certainly capable of playing in the NFL sooner rather than later.

He would be a tremendous depth pickup this late.

7a. James Proche, WR, SMU

I don’t know if Proche is going to last this long in the real draft, but he consistently falls to the end of the TDN mock machine. He plays the slot and simply doesn’t drop passes. He would be tremendous value here.
