2019 Stats: 15 games played (12 started), nine penalties, ten sacks allowed

I have put Elijah Wilkinson on this part of the list because of the injuries to Ja’Wuan James and he was the most consistent starter at right tackle. But if only James was healthy because I can not even go into detail how poorly Wilkinson was on the right side of the field.

Nine penalties is good for second most among starters for Broncos offensive linemen, only behind Bolles’ 17. But the most alarming stat is the ten sacks he allowed in 2019. I mentioned earlier that the Broncos allowed 41 sacks this past season. This means Wilkinson allowed close to 25% of the sacks recorded against the Broncos.

It seemed as if in every game, he was getting beaten by edge rushers. I know that Bolles struggled, but Wilkinson is clearly the weakest link. He barely edged out Leary regarding his overall grade on Pro Football Focus.

There is no denying it. Wilkinson should not start unless there is an injury and even then I would be weary.
