The Denver Broncos are going to need some new offensive linemen to better their line protecting Drew Lock. Why not get Joe Thuney, a big free agent target?

For the Denver Broncos offensive line, it has been a struggle to get some key players to help protect the quarterback. With a new potential face of the franchise coming up in Drew Lock, it will be even more important to keep him upright. The middle of the line will be important. Dalton Riser showed a lot of promise in his first year.

However, with Ron Leary’s lengthy injury history, there is a chance that the Broncos move on from him in free agency. Finding a guard to compliment Risner will be very helpful to protecting Drew Lock. Why not look into Joe Thuney?

As it stands right now, he is set to be one of the biggest names in free agency as an offensive lineman. His stats throughout his career are mindbogglingly good. And he would be a fantastic upgrade on the offensive line for the Broncos.

If the Broncos are going to attempt to acquire him, they will likely need to pay a pretty penny for him. That is if the New England Patriots do not re-sign him before the free agency period begins. Some fans are not comfortable paying an offensive guard in the NFL.

But this could be well worth the risk if the Broncos are projected to get a bit of money in the offseason to spend. There is no doubt that Justin Simmons will get a good chunk of it if he is not franchise tagged and a deal does not happen.

All signs point to a new deal. So, if there is a bit left and both sides agree, I would be excited to have a solid guard to help solidify the offensive line.
