As it stands now, the NFL is working on a new collective bargaining agreement. While the players have not voted yet, Brandon McManus provided a suggestion.

The National Football League is coming up with a new collective bargaining agreement for the players and owners. One of the biggest topics involving that new agreement is increasing the number of regular season games to 17 as well as adding one more team to the current playoff format.

That all sounds fun and all. But I firmly believe the biggest hurdle will be having the players agree to it. On Friday, the players decided not to vote on it after some talking. However, current Broncos kicker Brandon McManus came up with a solution that could help make the decision.

McManus suggested that the players meet up in Indianapolis to discuss more about the issue. This is probably the smartest move that I have ever heard of. As someone who prefers face to face, it really allows for both parties to really get an idea on what everyone else is thinking.

This might be the teacher in training in me saying this, but face-to-face is always the best option in my opinion. Granted, certain situations can prevent that from happening, nothing is better than seeing the person in front of you and knowing what they are thinking.

But I also believe it was a great move for Brandon McManus to consider the idea of meeting face-to-face. It gives the players a chance to mull over the idea of what is being proposed. And another meeting to go into more detail and open the floor to questions can make the decision on what to vote on.

I expect this meeting to happen sometime during the Scouting Combine that takes place next weekend. By then, we will have a good idea on what to expect upcoming for the NFL. Props to Brandon McManus for the suggestion.
