The Denver Broncos may be looking to replace two starters on the defensive line in 2020. Here are 20 free agents they could target.

With Derek Wolfe, Shelby Harris, and Adam Gotsis all approaching free agency in 2020, the Denver Broncos have to address the defensive line.

In fact, the defensive line may be where we see some of the biggest emphasis for the Broncos in the 2020 free agent signing period considering not only are those three players hitting unrestricted free agency, but breakout nose tackle Mike Purcell is also a restricted free agent.

The Broncos not only need starting caliber players on the defensive front, they need depth. They can certainly use at least one of their 12 draft choices to supplement their depth along the defensive line, but there should be some big moves made up front in free agency.

Thankfully for the Broncos, this year’s free agent class of defensive linemen is ridiculous, in a good way.

We’re going to be taking a look in this post at 10 guys who could be targets for the Broncos on their defensive line, but this won’t even count possible roster cuts or the two big names the Broncos have as in-house free agents, Wolfe and Harris.

Before we get into the names of players from other teams, it’s important to address both Wolfe and Harris.

It feels much more likely that Wolfe would return to Denver than Harris at this point. Wolfe has consistently expressed a willingness to take ‘fair’ pay from the Broncos, even though he’s not going to give them a discounted rate like he has in the past.

Harris has been seemingly talking about the Broncos in past-tense, and has hired a new agent (Drew Rosenhaus) to get him the one big contract he’s probably going to get as an NFL player.

There’s no doubt that the Broncos would love to have one or both guys back, but the price has to be right. At this point, I would bet or at least guess that Wolfe will be back with the Broncos along with another free agent or two.

Who will the Broncos target from other teams? Let’s take a look through some of the top names.
