Fourth Round

Benjamin has been a very productive runner over the last couple of years and has proven his worth as a three-down back with 77 catches in his last two seasons.

The Broncos will need a replacement for Devontae Booker and they have shown over the last four years that they definitely prefer Pac 12 running backs over the rest of the college football field. Benjamin could end up being a featured runner someday and is a tremendous value here.

Hamilton has popped up in a number of mock drafts, but if he is there early on day three, he would be an excellent selection. The Broncos took Dre’Mont Jones from Ohio State in last year’s draft, and Hamilton would keep the trend going.

He is a productive interior rusher with excellent size and length.

Fifth Round (compensatory pick)

The Broncos don’t have a pressing need for the tight end position, but on day three, this is fair game. If a receiving threat like Harrison Bryant is still available near the sixth round, the Broncos should pounce and see what happens.

Bryant won the John Mackey award this past year as the nation’s top tight end, so a fall this far would be surprising, but this simulation presented the opportunity.

Sixth Round

A productive player on the field for the Buckeyes, Fuller is an outstanding leader and tremendous athlete who could step right into a special teams role for the Broncos before ultimately competing for snaps in the defense.

He picked off five passes in his career at Ohio State and racked up 216 career tackles.

Seventh Round (including compensatory picks)

Gordon is a former JUCO prospect with a lightning quick release and a year’s worth of really solid tape at Washington State. He is worthy of a long look as a developmental backup and potential starting caliber QB.

Logan Wilson is a former defensive back turned linebacker whose career was outstanding at Wyoming. He could provide special teams ability right away for the Broncos.

Former Buffalo transfer who has been really productive over the last three years, Osborn has the athleticism and playmaking ability to warrant a late-round flyer at this point of the draft. The Broncos would be adding bodies and getting guys they would consider priority free agents at this point of the draft.
