If offense is emphasized in free agency like we’ve suggested, then it isn’t out of the realm of possibility to think the Broncos will prioritize the defensive front seven, where upgrades, starters, and depth are needed.

Marlon Davidson is such an athlete that at Auburn, he played a little off the edge. I think his versatility will be a weapon going forward in the NFL, but more on the interior defensive line.

For the Broncos, I would view him as the optimal Shelby Harris replacement with DJ Reader (the projected free agent signing) as well as Mike Purcell and Dre’Mont Jones giving the Broncos a new starting foursome up front with positional versatility.

Although Davidson was overshadowed some by his teammate and future top 10 pick Derrick Brown, he’s an outstanding player in his own right who packs a heavy punch and is productive against the run and pass.

A number of mock drafts have had Davidson slated in the later portion of the first round. The TDN mock draft machine has him ranked in the 80s, so my guess is he will ultimately land somewhere in between. This is a good spot for him and he would fill a starting role for Denver in the near future.
