The Denver Broncos could be without Chris Harris Jr. once the 2020 offseason officially begins. Could Logan Ryan be in the cards?

When we look back, the Denver Broncos struggled at the cornerback position. Chris Harris Jr. got his payday for the 2019 season, but did not have a lot to show for it. On the other side, there was a lot of moving around. Isaac Yiadom was the starter until his subpar performances benched him and DeVante Bausby took over. However, his injury two games later gave Devontae Harris his shot.

There is no doubt that cornerback is going to be an important need for the Broncos. That will become even more apparent if the team is unable to bring Chris Harris Jr. back as he looks to possibly be on his way out in Denver.

One cornerback that the Broncos should look at is current Tennessee Titans’ corner Logan Ryan. Most of us remember him from his time with the New England Patriots. He was also the one responsible for putting the dagger in the Patriots chance of winning their second straight Super Bowl and their third in four years.

During the 2019 season with the Titans, Ryan was able to record 113 tackles, 40 of them solo, and four interceptions. However, his biggest play came in the final seconds of the AFC Wild Card game where his pick six of Tom Brady sent the Patriots home early.

I believe his tackling and coverage will benefit the Denver Broncos defense. He could give the Broncos secondary that veteran presence and be able to make a game changing play at any given moment.

I do not think it would be a bad thing to take a look at Logan Ryan and see if he could help out on Vic Fangio’s defense. Having a guy that can make the big plays on defense is something that the Broncos need after a rough 2019 season on pass defense.
