3. DJ Reader, defensive line (Texans)

The Broncos signed Kareem Jackson from the Texans last offseason and brought in one of Houston DC Romeo Crennel’s top assistants — John Pagano — to coach their outside linebackers in 2020.

Those two connections could be key in the Broncos potentially luring Reader away from Houston and into the Mile High City, where he would provide the Broncos with some much needed versatility up front.

Reader is capable of playing the nose tackle position on a full-time basis, but I think he can slide over to the 3T, 4T, and pretty much anywhere in between for the Broncos.

Reader is a 6-foot-3, 347 pound beast who has developed into a heck of a pass rusher from the interior, racking up 16 QB hits and 4.5 sacks over the past two seasons.

Working in tandem with Mike Purcell, I think Reader would give the Broncos a valuable three-down weapon on the defensive interior and someone who could play multiple positions in Vic Fangio’s defensive alignment.
