Rest of day three
6. Terrell Burgess, DB, Utah
The Broncos may need depth at safety and nickel/dime if Will Parks does not return, and Burgess would be a great value in the sixth round.
He had 81 tackles, five pass breakups, and an interception this past season for Utah.
7. Jeff Thomas, WR, Miami (FL)
Another wide receiver? Why not?
Thomas has big-time speed and is an excellent late-round flyer type of player who could end up making a huge impact, if nothing else, on special teams.
Recap
This draft class gives the Broncos a potentially dominant left tackle, speed at the wide receiver position, and a couple of experienced options on the defensive side of the football who could start as early as 2020.
It will take a tremendous free agency period for the Broncos to get to the level of the 49ers or Chiefs, but this kind of draft class keeps them on pace with that blueprint for building a roster that wins in today’s NFL.
