Last year, the Broncos took the quicker, lighter Dre’Mont Jones off of the Ohio State defensive line.

In this scenario, they get a potential nose tackle of the future to go alongside of him.

While Mike Purcell had an outstanding year for the Broncos, his presence and size on the interior were absolutely critical to the Broncos’ success at stopping the run.

The Broncos will be active in free agency on the defensive line in my opinion, but they should still spend a pick on the defensive line in free agency as well. Davon Hamilton is as intriguing of an option as any.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Hamilton can play anywhere from right over top of the center to the 3T, and he may be asked to do even more if he’s drafted into Vic Fangio’s defense.

Hamilton is an NFL-ready run stopper already and has upside as a pass rusher as well.
