The Broncos have a need at the cornerback position, but I don’t think they’re as desperate as some people think they are.

Jackson had a really strong week at the Senior Bowl and stuck out in a really weak overall class of cornerbacks at the event.

A four-year starter for the Panthers, Jackson was a team captain who played a ton of games in college and proved himself over and over again as a productive playmaker with 149 total tackles, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles.

Adding a player like Jackson would give the Broncos another young developmental player for Vic Fangio’s defense, and they certainly have no shortage of those at this point.

He can contribute immediately on special teams and give Denver an option down the line as a starter if developed properly.

I think this team’s biggest addition at cornerback will come in free agency.
