Jason Strowbridge Broncos 2020 NFL Draft

As I stated in the opening, I think the Broncos will re-sign at least one of their starting defensive ends (Derek Wolfe being the more likely between he and Shelby Harris) and with Mike Purcell undoubtedly coming back as a restricted free agent, we could see Denver go to free agency and some depth moves in the draft as opposed to looking for instant three-down starters.

If that’s the case, Jason Strowbridge is as intriguing of a player as you could get at this particular juncture, and he showed out at Senior Bowl practices as an interior player.

He checked into the Senior Bowl at 6-foot-4, 265 pounds, but he was listed at UNC as 285 pounds. The Broncos would undoubtedly want him closer to the 285 but he doesn’t have issues winning one-on-one situations whether he’s matched up as an interior guy or playing on the edge as an end.

I think the Broncos’ scheme would be great for him as a RDE with the positional flexibility to move inside on passing downs.
