Rest of Day 3

Kevin Dotson, OG, Louisiana (Lafayette)

The Ragin’ Cajuns will likely have two offensive linemen selected in the 2020 NFL Draft and Kevin Dotson is currently showing out at the 2020 Shrine Game practices, according to Andrew Mason.

The Broncos and other NFL teams may have Dotson rated much higher come time for the 2020 NFL Draft than late day three, but he’s not even in TDN’s player database yet.

Perhaps a fourth-round prospect when all is said and done.

Kindle Vildor, CB, Georgia Southern

Vic Fangio’s requirements for the cornerback position?

Just cover.

Kindle Vildor not only showed he can do just that at Georgia Southern, but he’s got tremendous ball production (9 interceptions, 25 pass breakups) to go along with it.

He’s got a big-time personality and rose to the occasion when Georgia Southern got the chance to play some big games.

Draft recap (no compensatory picks)

  1. Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado
  2. Patrick Queen, LB, LSU
  3. Lloyd Cushenberry, C, LSU
  4. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU
  5. James Proche, WR, SMU
  6. Jack Driscoll, OT, Auburn
  7. Amik Robertson, CB/DB, Louisiana Tech
  8. Kevin Dotson, OG, Louisiana-Lafayette
  9. Kindle Vildor, CB, Georgia Southern

This draft class addresses the Broncos’ needs offensively as well as their depth defensively.

Next. Why did the Broncos move on from Rich Scangarello?. dark

Assuming the team will take advantage of a deep defensive line class in free agency as well as find at least another starter on the offensive line, this draft class would help push the Broncos that much closer to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020.
