Denver Broncos Stock Report: Denver outlasts Oakland
Broncos’ D vs. Derek Carr
Although the Raiders have not swept the Denver Broncos since 2010 (four years prior to Carr being drafted), it is likely that Derek Carr loves playing Denver.
He has a tendency to show out and ball out against even the best Bronco defensive units. He finished Sunday’s game 29/46 for 391 yards, although just one TD. While the Broncos defense did a great job in the redzone, displaying why their redzone defense is an NFL best, and just limiting Oakland’s scoring drives to just field goals the majority of the game, Derek Carr worked the secondary hard and put up lots of chunk yardage, including a quick pass to Darren Waller that would pick up 75 yards.
Although Carr threw enough incompletions for the IN-COM-PLETE chant to keep steady rhythm, in 2018, Carr threw just one incomplete pass in the Raiders’ road trip to Denver. Although Carr’s future with the Raiders in in question, there is a good chance he will stick out, and it is time for the Broncos’ defense to find a solution to slowing him.
