Second Half Adjustments

Although the finale to the game was a wild and awesome finish, this was a scenario the Denver Broncos had been in before in 2019–and one they did not come out on top in often.

We saw the Denver Broncos play not to win, but play not too lose all too many times in the second half this season, and easily, barring the efforts of Shelby Harris, could have cost them once again in Week 17.

A major weakness in the Broncos’ system this season was going into the locker room at half with a lead, and while the opponent made adjustments to come into second half, the Denver Broncos did not, and would be out dueled in the second half to head back into the locker room with a loss at the end.

In 2019, second half execution left much to be desired, especially when it cost the Broncos on so many occasions. This must be something that is addressed and fixed going into 2020.
