Phillip Lindsay

Entering the fourth quarter at Empower Field at Mile High, Phillip Lindsay needed just a few more yards to etch his name into the record books. With just 11 more yards, he would become the first undrafted free agent to rush for 1000 yards in his first two seasons in the NFL.

He would get it, but then, almost lost it. Just a few minutes later, Lindsay was stuffed for negative yardage on two plays, and was just 2 yards away from losing his record.

Fortunately, Lindsay was able to retain the record, and finished 2019 with 1,011 rush yards.

With Sunday’s game having no playoff implications for the Denver Broncos, the spotlight belonged to young Phillip Lindsay on Sunday.
