Drew Lock

Drew Lock’s stats against Oakland- 17/28 for 177 yards and one TD, aren’t anything spectacular, but Drew Lock played just well enough to win this game. Although the bar for QB’s is set quite low in Denver, one big thing that sets Drew Lock apart from guys like Joe Flacco, is he is not afraid to take risks and has been able to make those risky throws that turned into huge gains.

Watching Drew Lock take a shot downfield has yet to make Broncos fans cover their eyes, something we’ve likely all did quite often post Peyton Manning. Drew Lock’s confidence has been a big kick start to the Broncos’ offense; swagger is something that has been majorly missing.

Also, it would be an injustice to fail to include the video clip from Sunday’s game that made football fans outside of Denver fall in love with Drew Lock: his rapping to Young Jeezy’s “Put On”, even getting him attention from hip-hop outlets.

QB Drew Lock played well and had fun in 2019, something Broncos fans are eager to see again in 2020.
