Recap

There are so many different scenarios that could be fun for the Denver Broncos in the 2020 offseason. This is one of many we’ll explore in the coming weeks and months, but this gives us an idea of what kind of splash the Broncos can make as well as making other smaller moves.

Offense added/retained:

  • WR Henry Ruggs
  • C BJ Finney
  • IOL Connor McGovern

Defense added/retained

  • CB Logan Ryan
  • FS Justin Simmons
  • DE Leonard Williams
  • DE Derek Wolfe

The Broncos could utilize the draft and smaller moves in free agency to fortify depth on the offensive line, add some young pieces to the defense, and possibly go after a luxury player at the running back position.

There are so many ways John Elway can build this team around Drew Lock with a strong free agent class, and this is a great year to have a lot of cap space.

The market should be competitive for these players, and these aren’t the only good fits for the Broncos, but we know Elway is capable of putting a strong roster around a team with an established quarterback and even though Drew Lock is still young in his career, putting this kind of roster around him would be setting him up for great success.
