The Broncos will return to the postseason as early as 2020

At the presser on Monday, Vic Fangio and John Elway had mentioned that if the Denver Broncos had won at least two of their close losses earlier in the season, the team would be preparing for the New England Patriots game on Saturday.

And they are right. If Chicago and Jacksonville ended up missing their field goals or the Broncos held on, Denver would have finished 9-7. They would get the sixth seed by virtue of winning the head to head matchup with the Tennessee Titans in week six.

Seeing as how this team is so close to returning back after missing the playoffs the last four seasons, I would not be surprised to see this team back as a Wild Card team in 2020. The 2020 schedule is favorable, with only six games against playoff teams. But there are some games next season that will test them.

If they can have a solid offseason, this Broncos team could be even better in 2020.
