Is Von Miller coming back in 2020?

In a word, yes.

Elway confirmed at the press conference that the Broncos will pick up Miller’s $18 million contract option for the 2020 season.

So much for the ‘trade Von’ ideas, eh?

Miller is such a huge part of this Broncos team. Trading him at this point makes no sense due to the fact that he’s 30 now, he’s a team legend, he’s still playing well, and the dog days of this team’s rebuild are now in the past.

With the arrow pointing up and the young QB in place, why would you trade the best defensive player in franchise history now?

The Broncos would not be able to get the type of compensation from another team that would make trading Von Miller worthwhile or reasonable.

This news is not surprising, but it’s noteworthy because it’s a lot of money coming Miller’s way and the Broncos are committed to building their team culture around this guy.
